Such a freeze frame of a moment to see in my mind: tepid carrot water, pig guts, maw, gladiators. And that side glance of, ugh…we could be somewhere more important right now. Love it!
Love this! I too LOVED my Saturday cartoons and wouldn't budge till I had watched them all, which was like, almost midday. My mom would be really annoyed that I didn't go out to play till noon.
